Everything you need to know before visiting Kaputaş
Kaputaş is a small pocket beach where a narrow canyon meets the Mediterranean, 21 kilometres from central Kaş on the road to Kalkan. Its pale shore, steep cliffs and clear turquoise water create one of the Turkish Riviera’s signature views.
Access is via a long staircase from the D400 road. Kaş Municipality operates the beach and lists a café, showers, toilets, changing cabins, sun loungers and parasols. The municipality set the 2026 entrance fee at 60 TL; rental prices and opening times can change, so check current information before setting out.
Summer mornings are cooler and offer a better chance of finding space. Roadside parking is limited, especially in July and August, so a local minibus or taxi from Kaş or Kalkan can be more convenient.
The sea can deepen quickly and waves may develop. Follow local warnings, keep children close and bring water shoes, sun protection and drinking water.
